Quilt Prep

Prepping the Top: To ensure the best result, please be sure to square your top. Press well so the seams lie flat and clip stray threads or unravelling fabrics as best as you can.

Prepping the backing: Backing must be at least 4" longer than your quilt on each side. For example: If your quilt top is 60" x 60", your backing must be at least 68" x 68". Please ensure the backing is squared up. If the backing is pieced, horizontal seams are best (although not required). Press seams open and clip stray threads.

Batting Requirements: If you choose to supply your own batting, it must be at least 3" longer than your quilt top on each side. For example: if your quilt top is 60" x 60", your batting must be at least 66" x 66".

If you are mailing to me, please be sure to enclose your quilt in a plastic bag before packaging so no water damage will occur during shipping.
