Hi! I’m Megan

The creative force behind Fogbelt Quilting Company.  By day I am a Winemaker, by night; I quilt. I am also a Mom, Step-mom and wife.  I was born and raised in Canada (Hello Niagara!) but now make my home in Sonoma County, California—where vineyards, redwoods and coastal fog provide the backdrop to all of my family’s adventures.  My mother taught me how to sew as a child on her trusty avocado green Kenmore. Many pillows, blankets and skirts later, I discovered quilting and found my passion. I started longarming in 2020 and recently purchased a computerized system. I am excited to be able to offer edge to edge quilting.  I also dabble in pattern design, so be sure to sign up for our email list so you can be notified when the patterns hit the shop.

It is my goal is to highlight your piecing and fabric choices.  I know that with the right quilting motif, your quilt can come alive!  If you don’t know what pantograph you would like, we will work together to carefully select the quilting design.  My personal aesthetic leans toward modern-looking designs, but I also appreciate and love some of the more traditional designs and how they can compliment all quilt styles.

For your peace of mind, it's worth noting that our home and studio maintain a smoke and scent-free environment. To ensure utmost cleanliness, our beloved four-legged friends, Cassie and Roxy, graciously stay outside the studio. Additionally, customer quilts are securely sealed until the moment they are ready to be loaded onto the frame.
